- Bring your mirror close to your face
One of the biggest issue that most of the woman face while applying makeup is not being able to actually see the makeup properly. To make the makeup application easier, try bringing the mirror close to your face or use a magnifying mirror.
- Groom your brows
When you are wearing glasses, the eyebrows become the center of attention. You may think that glasses takes the place of your eyebrows but that's not true. It acts as an extra something to define your face.
Well-groomed and filled in brows help to frame your face which gives a more polished and professional look. So, try plugging extra hairs from your brows and fill the brows nicely.
- Use your frame as a guide
You can actually use your frame as a guide. Take note of what glasses you are going to wear- whether its specs or sunglass. Try to figure out where your glasses touch your face and put less makeup on that area. If you put more makeup on the area where your glasses are touching then the foundation will easily come off throughout the day.
- Set your foundation with powder
Some of us don't like setting our foundation with power for getting the dewy look, but setting the foundation with powder is extremely important especially on the nose area where your glasses will be touching your skin. If you don't set it then your foundation will completely wear off at the end of the day.
- Never skip concealer
Never skip applying concealer when you plan to wear your glasses. You don't obviously want your dark circles to pip through your glasses, right?
* Try to apply a concealer one or two shades lighter than your skin tone in a triangular shape. Glasses can cast a shadow under your eyes. A lighter concealer will help to brighten your eyes.
- Keep eye shadow light and neutral
Always keep your eye makeup as neutral as possible to get a fresh look. If you put dark colors on your eyes then you may look tired. This will accentuate your dark circles if you have them.
Keep the eyes muted and if you really want a smokey eye look, then just try using light browns instead of black or dark brown.
- Winged liner is the key
Add definition to your eyes from behind the lenses by applying eyeliner to your upper lashes especially winged liner. A winged eyeliner will draw attention to the eyes.
* Stick to some rules while applying eyeliner-
The thicker the frame, the thinner the liner and vice versa. This rule of thumb is helpful to give you girl boss look instead of making your look overpowering.
- Curl your lashes real good
Straight lashes don't look good in general. And as you want to focus on your eyes, so curl the lashes to separate them and make your eyes flirtatious.
- Avoid putting false lashes
False lashes are no when it comes to makeup with glasses. It will touch the lenses which can be very annoying.
- Apply lots of mascara
Apply a generous coat of mascara to the lashes to make your eyes look gorgeous yet not overpowering.
- Define the eye crease
Glasses tend to make the eyes look smaller. So make an illusion of larger eyes by putting the crease color in a different fashion. Try to put a light brown eyeshadow on above your actual crease line to make the illusion of bigger eyes. Put a light color on the middle of your eyes.
- Apply highlighter & blush in the right place
Applying highlighter and blush can be tricky when it comes to makeup with glasses. It completely depends on the shape of the glasses, if you are wearing a larger glass which tend to hit your upper cheeks then put blush on the middle area of your face instead of on top of the cheekbone and when you are wearing a small frame then put blush on top of the cheekbone.
- Put on a neutral lip shade
Neutral lip shades look good with every glasses. You can never go wrong with a nude shade lipstick.
- The brighter the better
If you are focusing night time makeup look, then go and put brighter lip shades like red and keep the eye makeup fresh and neutral. This will make your lips the center of attention. If you want the other way around, i.e if you want to draw all attention on your eyes, then just try applying a browny nude shade on your lips.
